My apologies for the roughness. My handwriting is awful.
This will operate like Forex and other types of commodity index trading. There will be no bid or ask depth. You buy and sell contracts at the last tick. All 30 MLB teams should have their prices continually simulated based upon some simple rules regarding maximum/minimum movement on each tick. The prices should change every second according to a random direction and random amount defined by the set rules. This will create a continuous (every second) table for each of the 30 teams from the moment the simulation begins.
There would be a simple accounting page where traders could make fantasy money deposits and withdrawals. I don’t want to fix the amount of money because I want potential traders to see what it would be like to deposit amounts that are more in-line with their reality. If a guy wants to only deposit $100, then he needs to see how that works out in this market. The same thing goes for someone who wants to deposit $1,000, $10,000..etc. There would be an account history page where they could see their trades, deposits, withdrawals and fees. Commissions would be deducted from each trade according to the real prices charged in today’s financial markets.
Other than a signup page and a few other simple support pages, I don’t think this is too complex.
If we could have a page of the top traders (by % gain over a period), that would add to the excitement.
This is what we need to get moving.
Thoughts everyone?
